Vorum Spectra 3D Scanner is one of the most advanced and specialized 3D scanners in the Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) field in the world, developed by the Canadian company Vorum (now part of Qwadra). Technology & Technical Specifications

The Spectra scanner uses Structured Light technology with an LED projector and a camera to capture 3D images. The projector is located at one end of the device and the camera at the other. The projector casts a coded pattern onto the patient’s body, and the camera records it. The integrated software then processes the digital image and extracts 3D information from the projected pattern.

The Spectra scanner uses an SP30 series LED projector from Smart Vision Lights with 5 watts of power, capable of displaying various user-selectable patterns. A key advantage of this scanner over laser-based models is its higher safety for patients and operators.
